Ideal for front of border or rockery situation. Good drought resistance.
Penstemons really are fantastic plants for any garden. They don't seem to suffer from any pest or disease and even the slugs avoid them. On top of that, they flower for months on end, right into autumn when many other plants have given up for the winter. They look equally at home in a traditional cottage garden, or a stylish modern design.
Loved by bees.
Happy in full sun but will tolerate partial shade without problems. Most soil types are fine, including quite dry.
