This Pratia has slightly larger, glossier leaves than the other Pratias. Rich blue flowers in spring and summer and often through to autumn add further interest.
It forms a creeping mat and will grow in cracks between rocks or slabs or in a container or gravel garden etc. Vigorous but not invasive. Shallow rooted, which is why it grows in cracks etc.
Can be grown in a lawn among the grass for an interesting effect when it flowers.
Said to prefer partial shade but it grows well in shade and sun here.
