Corydalis

Corydalis

Such a delicate looking plant, but Corydalis 'Beth Evans' is a tough old thing, perfect for livening up a shady spot in the garden. It's easy-to-grow with eye-catching spires of coral-pink blooms in late spring. Attractive foliage too, which is tinged with silver and nicely divided for a soft-textured look.
Most happy in shade, although will also grow in a sunny spot. Moist or dry soil, it has good drought resistance when established.
Good for under planting trees and shrubs. Does well in containers too. Note that the foliage dies back after flowering in spring and grows again the following spring.
This is one of many lovely spring-flowering plants available now.
