Old 'Pink' Cranmere Pool

Dianthus 'Cranmere Pool' is a beautiful repeat-flowering Dianthus with very pale pink double flowers, flushed darker towards the centre, which consists of a bright red zone. The flowers have a lovely clove scent and they make excellent cut flowers, having strong stems of approximately 25cm.

Raised by Cecil Wyatt of Colehayes, Bovey Tracey in Devon approximately 1971 and is one of many Dianthus named after Devonian landmarks. Cranmere Pool is located on Dartmoor, Devon and is the location of the first 'Letterbox', a hobby combining orienteering and puzzle solving that started on Dartmoor in 1854.

Dianthus 'Cranmere Pool' was raised by Cecil Wyatt of Colehayes, Bovey Tracey in Devon around 1971.
