Purpleleaf False Shamrock

Purpleleaf False Shamrock

Purpleleaf False Shamrock has large, clover-like deep-purple leaves and lovely white flowers, making it a very popular plant. It does well as a houseplant, but also makes a nice garden plant, in the ground or in a container.

Oxalis triangularis is called the False Shamrock since it's actually a wood sorrel and not a clover.

The interesting foliage has a photonastic response - the leaves open up during the day and close again at night.
