The Sicilian Honey Garlic
The Sicilian Honey Garlic has umbrellas of subtly coloured bell-shaped flowers, which hang from the tips of stiff, upright stems in May and June. After the flowers fade, curious, shuttlecock-like seedheads extend their season of interest well into summer and, when picked, add an interesting twist to dried flower arrangements. The flowers are loved by bumblebees.
It looks wonderful in mixed borders or more naturalised planting schemes, where it will add height, structure and colour. It can also be planted in large containers.
