A British native 'pink' with slender foliage and tall flower stems and deep pink flowers that are surrounded with green bracts.
Now classified as Endangered on the Vascular Plant Red Data List for Great Britain due to habitat loss. Widespread across the UK in the past, it is now known only to naturally occur in 15 sites across England and Wales.
It can be grown in a container, border or in grass or wildflower meadow and is an excellent plant for our native pollinators.
