Scarlet red flowers all summer long above fleshy green foliage, this plant is great for a rockery (provided it's not too dry), front of border or pond edge.
Happy in sun or shade as long as the soil isn't too dry, this really is a very easy and rewarding plant to grow.
The name Monkey Flower comes from the Latin Mimus, meaning mimic or actor because the flowers resembled a mask. All Mimulus prefer moist soil and shelter from strong winds. The Musks mysteriously lost their scent at the beginning of the 20th century - if you discover yours has a scent, please let us know!
Height and spread: 40cm x 30cm
