One of the best shrubby Salvias. Fully hardy in our experience and highly floriferous and with a compact structure. The flowers are loved by bees.
Enjoys sun but we have a plant in full shade and it does very well there too.

The word Salvia comes from salvere, to save. The Romans called culinary Sage "herba sacra", and it was also highly valued by the Chinese as it was thought to prolong life.
