Agastache aurantiaca ‘Apricot Sprite’ is an outstanding perennial that provides a sizzling blast of tubular, peachy-apricot flowers during mid to late summer and flower continuously until frost. A splendid addition to summer containers.
Height: 30cm
Agastache aurantiaca tolerate more summer water than other species. They prefer a sunny situation with moderately moist, fertile soil. They tolerate cold temperatures but do not like to be frozen so are best planted in a container which can be protected over winter. The large quantities of essential oils in the leaves make the plants highly resistant to browsing animals including deer.
Works well in a container on the patio which can then be moved into a greenhouse or cold frame in the autumn if expecting a severe winter.
