A creeping thyme, ideal for a herb bed, rockery or container. Dark green foliage and masses of pink flowers in summer, which are loved by bees and other pollinators.
Thyme has been a favourite herb for centuries, valued for its culinary merit and curative properties. It believed that fairies lived in banks of Thyme and sprigs were burnt as offerings to gods. Many of the Thymes come from the Mediterranean region, but all are hardy provided they have a well-drained soil (or container).
Thyme is very robust and is often planted between paving, in or over walls and in rock gardens.
