Makes attractive small bushes of prettily variegated grey-green and silver leaves, which are strongly lemon scented.
Thyme has been a favourite herb for centuries, valued for its curative properties. Fairies lived in banks of Thyme and sprigs were burnt as offerings to the gods. Although many of the Thymes come from the Mediterranean region, all are hardy, but they do appreciate a Well-Drained soil in Full Sun.
May be used between paving, or in or over walls and in the rock garden.
