A low carpet-forming species of Yarrow, quite different from the taller types grown as border perennials. Suitable for edging a sunny border, in the rock garden or alpine trough garden. It forms a low carpet of fuzzy olive-green leaves, producing small clusters of primrose-yellow flowers on taller stems in early summer. Sometimes used as a groundcover in small areas.
Drought tolerant when established.
Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

The yarrow family has been valued as garden plants for centuries and are useful for their wide range of colour and long flowering season. Most are excellent for cutting and drying and all are loved by bees and butterflies.
