Quite simply the best lemon scented foliage we have ever smelt! The foliage of this aromatic deciduous shrub has a wonderful zesty lemon scent which can be used in drinks, ice cream and any dishes where you want to add a hint of lemon. It's even used in pot pourri.
Hardy to about -5c so we grow it in a pot and bring it into an unheated greenhouse in the winter. A conservatory or cold frame would do equally well or if you are not too far north, a sheltered spot in the garden is usually fine.
Small white flowers in mid summer.
Height and spread: 45cm x 30cm
Common name(s): Lemon Verbena, Lemon Beebrush
