Eastern Blue Star
Eastern Blue Star is a beautiful perennial deserves to be more widely grown. It flowers reliably year after year, is not pushy or invasive, is not fussy about soil or situation and is fully hardy.
Our photograph is the plant growing in the Oxford Botanic Gardens when we visited recently.
Heads of ornamental, rich blue flowers in summer, which are larger, and open for longer than most other varieties, and narrow lance shaped foliage.
Its good for the front of a border as a specimen, or planted in groups to form a large clump.
