An excellent British native creeping ground cover for cool soil. Masses of golden-yellow buttercup-like flowers from June to August. The leaves are glossy and supposedly look like coins, hence one of its common names Moneywort.
A vigorous grower that is happy in a wide range of soils and situations, including wet soil.
Also makes a good container or basket plant, where the flowering tendrils drop down over the edges.
