A striking plant with most unusual markings on the leaves. Each leaf is splashed variously with pink, cream, black and red, just like a painter's palette. A real talking point.
Beautiful when massed as a groundcover, used as a specimen plant, or included in mixed containers. Airy deep-pink spikes of flowers appear in autumn and are delightfully graceful. Not a difficult plant to grow, provided the soil is not too dry.
Well worth growing for the talking point alone.
May self-seed if happy, but not to the point of being a problem. Prefers damp soil but tolerates well drained if it doesn't dry out completely.
Fully hardy.
