This variety is known for it's large white, slightly untidy blooms, which look a little like whirlwinds. A lovely cultivar which doesn't spread as much as some.
Japanese Anemones will grow on pretty much any soil in pretty much any situation, including deep shade.
Flowers from August to October so they are excellent for introducing white into the late summer/early autumn border.
Grows slowly into a good sized clump.
Suitable for cut flowers.
Drought tolerant when established.
Height and spread: 75 x 45 cm
Common name: Japanese Anemone
History
Hybrid Japanese Anemones are bred from a plant sent to England by Robert Fortune in 1844 and they have been popular garden plants ever since.
