A dainty little alpine. Shallow rooting, it forms a creeping mat and will grow in cracks between rocks or slabs or in a container or gravel garden etc. Lovely white flowers in spring and summer and often through to autumn. Vigorous but not invasive.
Shallow rooted, which is why it grows in cracks etc.
Easily grown in any area of the garden. It can be used as a grass substitute or grown in a lawn among the grass to add interest when it flowers.
Pratia prefers semi-shade but will grow in full shade and appears to be happy in full sun too. It copes well with dry soil when fully established.
