Striking purple-blue drumstick shaped flowers on tall stems from spring all through summer, often into September. Heavily scented blooms. Tidy grey-green foliage which is dusted with white.
Will gradually grow into a good-sized clump.
Happy in full sun or light shade in any soil except very dry. It's also suitable for growing in bog gardens and at the pond edge.
Primula capitata comes from Sikkim and Tibet and was brought to the UK in 1850.
