From North America comes this large-leaved Cardamine, where it grows in forests, stream banks and rocky slopes. White flowers appear above fresh green foliage in spring. A good ground-cover for weed supression.
It's perfect for woodland situations, or planted under trees or shrubs where it will come into flower before the new trees come into leaf. Prefers dappled shade, but will tolerate full shade or full sun.
It will survive drought well. Cardamine are often early to go dormant and can be deciduous from June until February.
